Description
My name is Barbara B, and I am a female carer with extensive experience in providing support to individuals with various needs. I specialize in caring for individuals with Mild Cognitive Impairment, Parkinson's Disease, Bedbound patients, as well as those dealing with anxiety and depression. With a background in home care, I have honed my skills to provide compassionate and personalized care to my clients.
I offer both live-in and hourly care services, catering to the unique needs of each individual. I am proud to say that I am not only a skilled carer but also a reliable driver with my own vehicle, enabling me to provide transportation to appointments and errands. My years of experience have allowed me to develop expertise in a range of tasks, including bathing, toileting, dressing assistance, catheter care, and providing companionship to those in need.
When I am not caring for others, I enjoy indulging in activities such as card games, puzzles, decorating, knitting, and socializing with friends and family. Additionally, I have a soft spot for pets. The qualities that define me as a carer are my caring nature, friendly demeanor, and helpful attitude. My ultimate motivation for being a carer stems from a passion for helping people lead independent lives and ensuring they feel valued and supported.

We employed Barbara Boyer as a live-in carer for my mother-in-law from October 2021 until my mother-in-law’s death in April 2022. Without Barbara’s care, we could not easily have managed those final 6 months of my mother-in-law’s life. Barbara dedicated herself to providing her with the best, most professional, loving and compassionate care at a time when my mother-in-law was increasingly unwell and, towards the end, nursed in bed. Barbara is extremely competent, keeps up to date with best practice and is organised and efficient. Even more importantly, however, Barbara treated my mother-in-law with enormous love and compassion and provided an environment where she could feel safe and seen, even though the mechanics of the personal care required frequently caused her distress. Barbara became one of the family and we are forever grateful to her for the time she spent with us all and the support she gave to us.
